From the earliest days of The “A” Game’s development, we’ve worked with City Year.
City Year is wholly focused on fighting the national dropout crisis. They have committed to leverage the talent, energy and idealism of corps members to serve as tutors, mentors and role models in schools to help students stay on track – and get back on track – to graduate.
Their corps members do this by focusing on three early warning indicators that have been defined through research: attendance, behavior and course performance in math and English.
City Year is excited to be using The “A” Game within their behavioral curriculum. Corps members will be playing the game with their students to encourage positive conversations about important topics including: truancy, peer pressure, bullying, time management, and more. We are confident The “A” Game will be a great tool to help City Year encourage students to stay on track to graduation.
